About Me

P1000113Born, raised, and in love with Colorado, I find myself and my work irreversibly intertwined with the spirit of my home: soulfully woven with nature, in harmony with existentially confused seasons, a deep appreciator of the proximity of the sun from high altitudes, and a frequent explorer (and crosser!) of continental divides.

In my writing, I strive to give a voice to the grit–to clear the throat of humanity’s shame and let our collective silenced songs be heard.

My psychotherapy practice, Atacama Counseling, LLC, strives to harness creativity, empowerment, and inner wisdom to help individuals, couples and groups through the journey to holistic well-being. Specialty areas include abortion, sexuality, and sexual trauma. I enjoy involving myself in various writing projects, including fiction, poetry, nonfiction, blogging, editing, and my novel in progress, Valparaiso, Barefoot. My spare-time passions include art, travel, hiking, backpacking, and meditation.
